Having removed the card from the envelope
you should slide a sharp knife between the
nameplate and the card. Remove any residue
of glue from the reverse of the nameplate
and with scissors cut any tags from
the edges. Gently file the base of the tags
to smooth the edges and apply Superglue or
UHU in a very small amount to the contact
area and fit to the model having first
checked the location. Some modellers use
double sided tape or Blu-Tack for
headboards. On some occasions the exposed
brass of the nameplates loose their
brightness which can be returned by rubbing
on polishing paper. Some modellers then coat
the nameplate in varnish to prevent further
